IES indoor side finish runner’s up in Suffolk Indoor League


IES finished runners up to Ipswich School in Group A of the Suffolk Indoor league.

The Men’s indoor side have been promoted to next year’s East Premier League after finishing second in DIV 1. The men finished with 5 wins and 1 loss.

The Men's 1s have won promotion with 5 games to spare back to Div 2 with a 3-0 Home win over 3rd Place North Walsham.

“Archer makes Men’s debut in goal for Men’s 5’s”


Archer made his Men’s debut in goal on Saturday, performing heroically to keep the score down with some quite breath taking saves. Archer was dubbed the man of the match by team mates, and IES are delighted with the progress the youngster has made.

The Men's 1’s have been crowned champions of Div 3NE, only suffering 1 defeat all season.

“Men's 3’s achieve Promotion”


The Men's 3’s have won promotion from Div 5NE, only losing twice all season in a fantastic season led by Captain Guy Whiting.

“Emerging Schools Hockey Finals”


Copleston U14 Boys were successful in the emerging schools finals, which included several IES academy/junior players. The match was decided on Penalties with Archer the 5th team goalkeeper playing for Copleston School.

“Elsom finishes Top Club Scorer”


Peter Elsom of the Men's third team finishes season with 34 goals, narrowly beating John Tingey with 33 of Men's Second team.

“Men's 3’s crowned Champions”


The Men's 3s have been crowned champions after a thrilling 4-3 win on final day.
