IES played there final friendly game of the season of the season against Colchester at home, this was another tough test for the team as again they play one division above us.
We started the game well playing the new way we are trying to enforced this season and we looked good but Colchester are also a good team and played come good hockey also. It was Colchester who took the lead although IES created chances also but were unable to convert any of them.
By half time Colchester had score 4 with no reply from IES but with Scott limping off this was no surprise as he was last years top goal scorer.
The second half IES stuck to there task and played much better keeping Colchester at bay and it was not until a mistake by IES that Colchester we able to score.
This again was an improved team performance and we are moving forward with each game but now the pressure is on with our first league game at home against St Neots who were relegated from Division 1 last season.
