Club Training

The Club is please to announce that an extra hour of training time on Wednesday evenings at Copleston has been secured for the 2009-10 season (starting 2nd Sept)

Ladies training is from 7.00 – 8.30pm
Mens training is from 8.30pm – 10.00pm

It has been club policy to book the extra hour, if at all possible, and this has become available and returns us to the training time that we had for many years at Copleston.

Barnstaple Tour - Aug Bank Holiday 09

Calling all members with nothing to do next August Bank Holiday (2009)

Why not join the Mighty Mallards on tour in the lovely North Devon town of Barnstaple?
Arrive Friday set up camp, have a "few" beers, followed by a choice of Indian or Chinese, both less than 100yds away or cook on site.  Perhaps a pleasant stroll down the river Taw or visit the town itself, even have a "few" more beers! Or check out the disco and entertainment provided in the sports hall.

Richard Gray Memorial Tournament

The Club would like to thank all participants who played at the Richard Gray memorial tournament held on June 20th at Copleston. The club raised £420 at this event which will be forwarded to the charity ‘Breast Cancer Care’, as nominated by Richard’s family. If anyone who was unable to play or contribute on the day would like to associate themselves with the charitable donation, could you please get in touch with Chris Hatch before 31st July.

Pre-season fitness and Indoor hockey training

From Monday 13th July, members are encouraged to attend.
7.45pm – running and fitness session, meet Rushmere car park (free to members and guests)
8.30pm – 10.00pm - Indoor Hockey in the sports hall
Please bring a Red, a White and a Dark Blue shirt (in order that we can pick 3 squads)
Nb – black-soled trainers are not allowed on the sports hall floor!
Participation fee; £2.50 per session
