Dear IES Ladies,

My old club in Scotland runs this tournament annually.  I have been asked by the President of LLHC if any ladies from IES would like to attend.  My lovely husband David has agreed to hire the army mini-bus which only he is insured to drive.  I have looked at getting accommodation in the Loch Lomond Youth Hostel (fab views of the loch) where breakfast can be purchased, and the costs are as follows:

Hire of mini-bus                                                   £90
Cost of YH (incl. temp membership) for 12 adults   £450 (2 nights accn)
Fuel Costs (complete guesstimation)                    £410
Tournament Entry Fees                                       £50
TOTAL                                                               £1000

So, if we could muster up 7 to 12 people then the cost would be around £100-£125 for the weekend (depending on numbers attending and fuel costs).  The itinerary would be as follows:

Friday 11th June
0830 hrs Mini-bus leaves Morrison’s Car park, Sproughton
1800 hrs Arrive YHA Loch Lomond
1930 hrs Trip to Palace Restaurant Helensburgh

Saturday 12th June
0900 hrs Mini-bus leaves YHA Loch Lomond
1000 hrs LLHC O-35’s Hockey Tournament begins (timings TBC)
1500 hrs Retire to Brock Bowling Club for teas (!).
1800 hrs Bus returns to YHA Loch Lomond
1930 hrs Trip to Bishopton Tandoori Restaurant

Sunday 13th June
1000 hrs Mini-bus leaves YHA Loch Lomond
1900 hrs Mini-bus arrives Morrison’s Car park, Sproughton.

Obviously, the final cost is totally dependent on numbers who attend, and there is a chance it may increase.  I can only get the ball rolling for booking the accommodation if people let me know by Fri 26th MARCH (please note I will NOT be at training on 17th Mar).  I will also need payment of £100 by cheque to confirm your attendance by this date.   Should costs work out at less than this, then your money will be refunded during the weekend.  I have already paid a non-refundable deposit to secure the mini-bus and I would appreciate it if members would act quickly on this matter as I will not use my own personal funds to book accommodation and obviously this needs to be done ASAP to keep costs down.  My contact details are:
