Dear Club and School colleague,
Please see attached details of Suffolk Hockey Junior Academy Programme which starts early in January.
Please can you read the information carefully and pass on the information to young people at your club or school you believe have the potential to attend the Junior Academy centre. (Previously county Hockey.)
Suffolk Schools and Youth HA are running 10 age group squads (5 for boys 5 for girls). It is expected that 24 young people will be selected in each age group / gender. To clarify this means across the 10 JAC squads we expect to have 240 young people involved in the county programme, SO THERE ARE LOTS OF OPPORTUNITIES.
Players recommended following the recent Junior Development Centre programme, players involved in county programmes in previous years and indeed players who attended Junior Regional Performance Centres in 2009 should ALL attend these assessment sessions if they wish to be considered for Single System activities during 2010. There is no pre selection, even for previous National Age Group players (NAGS / England players.)
In addition to the programme I have attached a player registration / consent form and we would be very grateful you could copy these along with the programme and give them to young people / parents in order that they can be completed prior to the first session.
Also attached an information leaflet about the JAC which is part of the England Hockey Single System for Hockey.
