Senior & Student club sessions
For the duration of the winter season 2022-23, these are organised on midweek evenings at ISSC as follows.
Ladies senior/student training (from age 13, commencing Wednesday 24 August 2022):
Ladies 1s, 2s and 3s – Wednesdays 7.30pm-9.00pm
Mens senior/student training (from age 14, commencing Tuesday 23 August 2022):
1st X1 squad, Tuesdays, 7.30pm – 9.30pm. Head coach, James Gray
2nd X1 – 5th X1 squads, Tuesdays, 7.30pm – 9.00pm. Coach, Steve Godfrey
Both Mens and Ladies training sessions will be held on ISSC pitch 3 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays respectively during the 2022/23 season.
In all cases, please arrive 15 minutes before the session is due to start to warm up and get ready.
Senior training is subject to a Christmas/New Year break and will cease for the season by the last week of March 2023 – unless there are ‘significant’ league slip games to play, when the training may be extended for a further period.
Costs: Please note that the midweek training session is Free to paid-up members who are also paying regular match fees. Otherwise, a £4 / £2.50 training fee (Senior / Student) is due from those attending who are ‘occasionals’ or not members of the club. The training fee will also be applicable if and when the number of sessions exceeds 24.
Junior sessions:
Junior Boys & Girls training (age 6 – 16 approx): Sunday mornings from 11 September 2022 at ISSC (IP5 1DE).
- U8/U10/U12/U14 – 9-10.30am
- U16 Girls – 10.30am-12noon
NOTE from Sunday 17 September 2022 training on Sundays will take place from 9.30am-11am.
Some of the Junior sessions are devoted to age-group matches against other clubs, which may mean the start time and finish time are changed. Refer also to the Junior pages on the Club’s web site. Junior sessions cost £2.50 per person per session, in addition to the £60 annual membership fee.
Prospective Members are encouraged to come along to the midweek evening Senior/Student Ladies and Mens training sessions or Sunday (Junior) sessions to get acquainted with the Club and express an interest in joining. A call or mail to any member of the Club committee in advance would be welcome, so details can be taken prior to attendance. Refer below:
* Please keep an eye on the club’s web site and social media, because information about training sessions is published from time to time. In particular, if training has to be cancelled for reasons of bad weather, it may be broadcast in this way.
